Asperger's Syndrome vs. PDD-NOS

Introduction: In today's article, I'm intending to write about the difference between Asperger's syndrome (Later referred to as AS) and pervasive developmental disorder - not otherwise specified (later referred to as PDD-NOS). Both of these neurodevelopmental disorders are a subcategory of autism. A lot of people tend to confuse the two mental disorders because they are quite similar to each other. The truth is that they are not the same. A presentation: A presentation was held in my school about the symptoms of AS for some reason. As a consequence, a lot of people might think that I was diagnosed as such. I was do diagnosed as autistic but with PDD-NOS.  It would have been too obvious to hold a presentation about the latter. So, I'm going to tell you why I cannot have Asperger's. Autistic triad / dyad (symptoms) What is PDD-NOS? Tics Explained

Introduction: In today's blog, I'm due to write about TS  that is the short form of Tourette's syndrome. It is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects the brain.  I wrote this article to raise awareness of tics and to share my experience and my feelings. Let's go in-depth and find out more about what TS is. I will use the collective noun Tourette's to describe a large group of symptoms. I'm not diagnosed with Tourette's although I still have tics. Symptoms: A common symptom of such disorder might be if someone makes involuntary sounds (vocalizations) and movements repetitively.  These will  later  be referred to as tics that the sufferer is not able to control and cannot stop doing, for instance, twitching or excessive blinking. Tics also include unintentionally made loud (sometimes frightening) sounds such as grunting (like pigs), throat cleaning or even swearing. Symptoms usually begin between the age of 5 to 10 years that will probably disappear later

According to some findings, 2% of the world's population is affected by obsessive thoughts and / or compulsions, globally. Let's explore what these compulsive behaviours mean and go into further details.   I felt that I had to write an article about this because I was one of the many people who had suffered from such anxiety. Therefore, I'm just about to share my personal experience and recall my memories when I was in primary school. Compulsive hand washing Negative connotative meaning: It has become an adjective in our everyday speech to refer to people as such. Mainly, those who are over-organized or those who double-check things. It is totally normal to organize or to check things and there is nothing out of the ordinary in it. Not to mention that OCD might be a pejorative adjective to use that the vast majority of people may find insulting to be referre
